丹麦奥胡斯大学董明东教授来访

Abstract:

Scanning probe microscope (SPM) provided unprecedented visualization of individual molecule, and also allow to manipulate objectives at nanoscale. Atomic force microscopy (AFM)as one of key members of SPM family has been playing a key role in the field of nanoscience. It has significant contributions to understand structures and physical properties at nanscale. This talk will review the recent results and research activities at my bio-SPM group with particular focus towards exploring structures and functions of biological samples. In addition, AFM-based methods for nanomaterial investigation will be also mentioned in this talk.

 

Biography:

Dr.  Mingdong Dong is currently working as an Associate Professor and a group leader at Bio-SPM group at Aarhus University Denmark. He obtained the Bachelor, Master, and PhD degrees from China, Sweden, Denmark respectively. After obtaining his PhD degree (2006), he continued with a Postdoctoral Research Associate Position at Aarhus University, Denmarkand Harvard University, USA. Dr. Dong has published more than 100 papers (More than 4700 citations, reached an H-Index of 35 and i10-index of 94) in top international peer reviewed journals such as Nature, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communications, PNAS, Angewandte Chemie, Nano Letters, JACS, Small, ACS NANO, Advanced Materials, etc.Dr. Dong also serve as a board member or editors for international peer review journals including Nature group- scientific report, the Royal Society of Chemistry EES and RSC advances,  and serve reviewers for several scientific journals such as the American Physics Society (APS, USA), the American Chemical Society (ACS, USA), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC, UK), and the Institute of Physics (IOP, UK).Nature group (UK).

 

董明东博士长期致力于扫描探针显微技术的研发与应用,成功扩展了生物分子成像手段在液相实现高分辨扫描,第一次利用探针技术研制微秒力学显微镜,重点集中在材料的结构及功能的研究。董明东博士利用分子识别功能对蛋白质分子在高速下进行分子力学谱的研究,通过扫描隧道显微镜手段,扩展在超真空与固液界面条件下分子材料的自生长机理。近年来他致力于利用控制各种外场力实现对静电力磁力的测量,实现了功能表面成像技术。董明东博士目前在国际刊物上发表文章87篇,其中国际著名期刊Nature 2篇、 Nature Nanotechnology 1篇、Nature Communication 1 篇、 PNAS 1篇、JACS 7篇、Journal of Immunology 1篇、Nano Letters 4篇、Small 5篇、ACS Nano 5篇等,总被引频次超过千次。董明东博士主持及参与丹麦自然科学基金、欧共体自然科学基金等 10多个项目,现任 JACS、PRL、Chemical Communications、Chemical Society Reviews、Advanced Functional Materials、Angewandte Chemie International Edition,Nano letters、Nanotechnology、Small、JPC、PCCP, Advance Materials等国际权威期刊的评委,他现为美国Biophysical Society会员、美国Materials Research Society会员、加拿International Conference on Nanotechnology: Fundamentals and Applications国际会议委员会委员,并曾任美国化学学会2010年会议-能源与未来分会联合主席、纳米工具和生命科学第一届世界大会-2010年纳米研究纳米分析联合主席、国际生物和医学研究协会理事
